In 2020, despite the challenges of the COVID19 pandemic, the onboarding activities for the agencies continued and two more agencies namely National Tobacco Administration (NTA) and Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB went live in the TradeNet Platform for the issuance of their import permits making it a total of four (4) agencies who are currently using the platform; BOC, PDEA, NTA, and DENR-BMB.

This year, through the collaboration and assistance of the NSW Steering Committee and Technical Working Group and the active participation of the Anti-Red Tape Authority, the TradeNet PMO was able to craft a calibrated onboarding work plan that will onboard the remaining trade related government agencies (TRGAs) before the end of the year. With the addition of agencies under the logistic sector, the TradeNet Program is looking at intensifying the government’s anti-smuggling efforts, by onboarding a total of 78 TRGAs to the TradeNet Platform.

Out of these 78 TRGAs, the TradeNet PMO have identified 32 priority agencies to be onboarded in the TradeNet System composed of agencies under the PNSW 1, agencies who are ready to go live, and lastly agencies under logistic sector to compliment the implementation of the National Effort for the Harmonization of Efficient Measures of Inter-related Agencies of Project NEHEMIA of ARTA Authority.
