The Department of Finance, as Chairman of the National Single Window – Steering Committee (NSWSC), successfully facilitated the 6th National Single Window Steering Committee Meeting that was held last October 5, 2021 via Zoom Conference.
NSW TWG Chairman and BOC Commissioner Rey Guerrero discussed the progress report of the NSW-TWG and its clusters for the period of January – September 2021. He mentioned that the NSW-TWG has successfully facilitated eight (8) TWG and cluster meetings to ensure the continuous and effective implementation of the NSW.
Eighteen (18) priority agencies for onboarding were identified by the DOF, BOC, and ARTA. Nine (9) TRGAs have completed their onboarding milestones, and nine (9) TRGAs have expressed commitment to onboard by year-end.
Ms. Casiño reported that the updated TRGA List currently has 82 agencies, 73 for onboarding. The initial TRGA list included 76 TRGAs to be onboarded on the platform.
Onboarded Agencies as of 2019 include the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). In 2020, the TPMO onboarded two more agencies as of December 2020, namely: Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) and the National Tobacco Administration (NTA). There has been a prioritization of onboarding in the platform, and 18 agencies are expected to be onboarded before the end of 2021. These agencies are mainly from the old NSW.
The identified 18 Priority Agencies have been engaged by the TPMO since March 2021 and are in the final stages of the onboarding activities. In addition, the TPMO is currently waiting for the developers to deploy the approved agency modules in the Production Environment so that the agencies may proceed with the Go Live Testing Activities with the selected stakeholders.
There are 51 remaining agencies to be onboarded, all of which have been engaged by the assigned TFOs, and are in the Data Gathering Stage of onboarding. Monitoring Agencies, Ecozones, and agencies with existing systems are slated to have technical meetings to discuss the procedure of their connection to the platform, scheduled in the first quarter of 2022.
