The TradeNet PMO successfully conducted the four-day Business Analysis Workshop held last April 30, May 3,6 & 10, 2021. The four-day workshop is one of the capacity-building activities in the Tradenet Onboarding Process aimed to empower the agencies in determining probable or existing bottlenecks, their correlative causes, and the relative development of measurable and quantitative process indicators (e.g., the number of steps, time, and costs required to fulfil those processes).

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI), Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) and Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) were the pioneer agencies who actively participated in the said workshop.

The course included four (4) modules designed to familiarize agencies with the concept of Business Process Analysis and understanding its relevance in the context of trade facilitation and its applicability in UML notations and drawing simple Use Case and Activity Diagrams.

The activities included Process Analysis and Recommendations Development and Take-Home Exercise– to Create a selected Agency To-Be Process Diagram.

The last day of the workshop focused on Group Synthesis and Presentation of the initial draft of the BPA Project/Learnings and the To-Be Process Diagram of each agency.
