The Department of Agriculture (DA) conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Automated Government Service Management System for DA Regulatory Agencies at the Bayleaf Hotel Cavite.

Director Angelica Sarmiento, Director IV of the Central Management Information Office and Head of the TradeNet Project Management Office reported that this year, the TradeNet Project Management Office (PMO) carried out a calibrated onboarding work plan that will onboard the remaining 73 Trade Related Government Agencies to the TradeNet system for the issuance of their import and export permit. Classified among the priority agencies are the attached agencies and bureaus under the Department of Agriculture being the principal agency for the promotion and regulation of agricultural products in the country.

The National Tobacco Administration (NTA) was the first agency under the Department to onboard the system last December of 2020 and has been utilizing it for the issuance of their license and import permit. While Nine (9) agencies namely; Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), and Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PHILFIDA) already completed the critical onboarding stages and ready to go live to the TradeNet system. Lastly, National Dairy Authority (NDA), categorised as a monitoring agency, is scheduled to be onboarded next year together with other monitoring agencies and ecozones.
