Currently, there are four (4) agencies that are live in TradeNet.gov.ph Platform for the issuance of their import/export permits, licenses, and certificates, namely; Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), National Tobacco Administration (NTA), and Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB). This year, through the collaboration and assistance of the NSW Steering Committee and Technical Working Group (NSW-TWG) and the active participation of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), the TradeNet PMO was able to craft a calibrated onboarding work plan aimed at the onboarding of the remaining trade-related government agencies (TRGAs) before the end of the year.
In support of this, the ARTA Authority and EODB-ARTA Advisory Council also issued a resolution and memorandum circular endorsing the complete mandatory onboarding of TRGAs to the TradeNet Platform. Out of these 73 TRGAs, the TradeNet PMO has identified thirty-two (32) priority agencies to be onboarded in the TradeNet System composed of agencies under the PNSW 1– agencies who are ready to go live, and lastly agencies under the logistic sector to complement the implementation of the National Effort for the Harmonization of Efficient Measures of Inter-related Agencies of Project NEHEMIA of ARTA Authority.
Despite the inevitable onboarding challenges, 18 from the priority 32 agencies are expected to go live this August 2021. As of August 25, 2021, six (6) agencies are scheduled to be configured in the Production Environment of TradeNet in preparation for the go-live of their processes, namely; Fertilizer and Pesticides Authority (FPA), Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standard (BAFS), Sugar regulatory Administration (SRA), Department of Trade and Industry – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI – EMB), National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), and Optical Media Board (OMB). While the nine (9) agencies are nearing the go-live stage Department of Foreign Affair – Office of the Protocol (DFA-OP), Bureau of Plant and Industry (BPI), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB) PNP CSG – Firearms and Explosives Office (PNP-FEO), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), National Telecommunication Commission (NTC), Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI), and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
